Dichroic-coated colour glass filters are optically coated with thin films and dielectric films vacuum-deposited onto glass substrates.
Dichroic colour filters transmit light of certain colour and reflects complementary colour. Ideal for machine vision, colour separation and contrast entracement applications. There is high colour resolution without an aging process, having high temperature stability and heat-resistant up to 400°C. The filters are available in 17 standard colours and come from the Unaxis (Balzers) range, dark blue b-42, medium blue b-46, light blue B-51, cyan C-54, light green G-49/59, primary green G50/G55, fern green G-51/56, mauve m47/63, dark lavender M49/65, orange O-56, deep orange 0-59, pink P-47/58, plume red R-61, primary red R-65, turquoise T-48/53, yellow Y-52 and amber Y-54.
A range of precision dichroic filters of dichroic additive and subtractive filters for use in colour TV cameras, film printers, signal lighting, head-up-displays and process control etc are available in DT blue, DT green, DT red, DT yellow, DT magenta and DT cyan.
An additional range of Dichroic glasses are available for lighting filters, entertainment and architectural lighting designers. These are supplied from a palette of over 30 colours. These are used for filter wheels and can be custom cut into 3 – 10 segment variations in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Dichroic colour separating mirrors are absorbing free and guarantee loss-free separation or in a mixture of the primary colours blue, green and red. They are designed for a light angle of 45° with maximum continuous ambient temperature of 20°C and the range consist of DC blue, DC green and DC red.
