HEAT PROTECTION FILTERS
Hot mirror filters are dielectric coated glass substrates and act as heat protection filters by adding the hot mirror in the path beam of the light sources so reducing the beam temperature. Reduction of heat depends on the individual application and the light source use. The hot mirror reflects infra-red (hot) radiation while transmitting visible light, used in projection. There are two types of commercial hot mirrors for use at 45° and 0° angle of incidence. And special hot mirrors for specialist applications including Calflex-C, Calflex-B and Calflex-3000.
Typical applications of hot mirrors include:
Projection and illumination systems
Medical examination lighting
Fibre optic lighting
Lighting installations in TV and Film Studios
Scientific instruments
Museum and architecture lighting
