IR Cut Off Filters
IR cut off reflective filters cut IR energy and keep the natural image reality avoid and adjust the colour deviation for digital and optical applications.
IR cut off filter data IRC-09
In today’s standard light sources the spectral output is very broad reaching further than the visible spectrum. Monochrome cameras, sensors and devices are often in need of a IR cut of filter to eradicate the effects of infrared light occurrence upon the detector.

IR cut off IRC-09 reflective filters – infrared blocking cut the IR region transmitting less than 3% transmission @ 700-1100nm. In some case IR cut of heat absorbing glass filters maybe suitable but the cut off is more gradual. See IR Heat Absorbing Glass Filters for details.
Specialist cameras and imaging systems including webcams and video cameras have and IR blocking filter mounted behind it or built into the lens in front of the detector chip. If a IR cut off filter is not used its colour rendition and focus is effected.
