Schott and Hoya shortpass filters are very similar to long pass filters with an additional lower passband at wavelengths lower than the blocking range. Shortpass filters are used as IR cut off filters and pass all wavelengths shorter than the cut off wavelength.

Schott BG18 or Schott KG3 are suitable for blocking the high sensitivity region of a photodiode which must be blocked above 700nm.

Schott shortpass filters include Schott BG28, BG23, BG18, BG39, BG14, BG40, BG38.

Schott shortpass KG1, KG2, KG3, KG4 and KG5 glass filters are excellent filters for heat management and include other shortpass filters like hot mirrors see filter types for hot mirror details.
